Common questions

How much do I give?

It goes by body weight. The dosage calculator further up this page will tell you the daily amount, and how long each size lasts at that amount. Divide the daily amount between morning and evening.

How long should I give it before deciding?

Supplements are daily, not occasional. Give it consistently and give it a fair run. Most people work through a full bag before forming a view. If it is not right for them, tell us and we will sort it out.

What if they will not eat it?

Try it with food rather than on its own, or break it up over a meal. If they still refuse, the oils are an option for fussy eaters, a topper at dinner rather than something to chew.

Can I give this alongside other supplements or medication?

Speak with your veterinarian before combining supplements, particularly if they are on medication, pregnant or still young.

How do I change or cancel a subscription?

From your account, any time. You can skip a delivery, change how often it arrives or cancel outright. There is no minimum and no phone call.

Where are these made?

In our own plant in British Columbia. We built it so we control every batch rather than handing that to somebody else.

How many Calming chews a day, by dog weight?

One chew per 10 lb of body weight, split between morning and evening. 0 to 14 lb is 1 chew a day, 15 to 24 lb is 2, 25 to 34 lb is 3, 35 to 44 lb is 4, 45 to 54 lb is 5, 55 to 64 lb is 6, 65 to 74 lb is 7, and 75 lb and over is 8. A 40 lb dog takes 4 chews a day. At that amount the 90 g bag of 30 chews lasts 7 days, the 200 g bag of 66 lasts 16 days, and the 600 g bag of 200 lasts 50 days.

What is the difference between the Calming Support Chews and the Calming Support Oil?

Same formula idea, different format. The chews are a soft chew given by count. The oil is a dinner topper measured by the teaspoon. Both are built on hemp seed with chamomile, lemon balm and L-theanine. The oil suits dogs that eat around a chew and leave it. The amount of either goes by body weight.

Which size should I start with?

The 90 g bag holds 30 chews and is the usual first bag. The 200 g bag holds 66 chews and the 600 g bag holds 200, which is the lowest price per chew. The dosing section above shows how long each size lasts at the daily amount for their weight.

What are the active ingredients?

Hemp seed oil and hemp seed powder, chamomile, lemon balm and L-theanine. Each one is described in the Formula section above.

Is there a version for cats?

Yes. Calming Support Chews for Cats is a separate 50 g formula with its own daily amounts by body weight. These chews are sized and dosed for dogs.

Is this a treat or a supplement?

A supplement in soft-chew form, given daily by body weight. It is not a training treat. True Love is our treat range.

I love your products. I have been referring them to friends and family for years. I purchased items to give to a family member and they cannot believe the results. Thank you for thinking of our pets and making their lives easier.

5 star review all the way :)

Tracy, our sweet 3 legged, neurotic, bitey little mutt is happy! We have tried other brands and they either don't work or our picky little girl will not eat them. THANKS SO MUCH!

Love this product!

Fantastic product to calm down my anxious dog. Dosage for his weight is 2 chews. I give him 1/2 of one chew and within half an hour he’s good.

Very helpful

I buy these treats probably every month. My dog has very high anxiety. These treats are amazing. They’re always in my cart and always in the treat jar. I did use oil to try to help his anxiety. These help the best to keep him calm. Highly recommend they do have a weird smell, but my dog eats them Lol

Seem to settle my nervous pup

Soft and chewy, my dog eats them without any hesitation. She is nervous around loud noises such as strong wind, thunder and fireworks, after approx 20 min of ingesting she seems to settle and stop pacing.

Great product.

It works for my frenchie for separation anxiety. Although I take Gizmo just about every where with me, there are those times I don't. On the house camera we see that he is calm and cozy in his bed.

Effective

My Beagle is anxious and these have definitely made a difference. He doesn't get drowsy but just seems more relaxed. The only downside is that they are hard to cut if you need a smaller portion for a small dog.

My dog won't eat these treats. I keep trying get her to eat one but she just leaves them on the floor. I doubt I can get my money back but if not, I can take them to the SPCA for some of the dogs there.

I have a very hyper dog that would go crazy and start crashing into our furniture, this really calms him down and helps with his anxiety.

Perfect for leaving my pooches for work.

This seems to take the edge off my 14 year old boy, especially when I need to leave for work. Don't give more than the recommendation. It did trigger a seizure (he gets them-Dachshund). Lesson learned. But at the recommended dose, he's fine.

These are the best!

Thunder and lightning? Give your dog one a half hour before the storm gets intense. He is still nervous but not pacing, whining and drooling.

Wonderful Product

My 45 pound boy has bad separation anxiety. Last to be adopted out of a family of 10 surrendered for unwanted litter.
I give him 1-2 depending on how long I’ll be gone. My house is no longer torn up. Of course he’s happy when I get back. But not overly and seems to TOTALLY remove at least 90-95% of his anxiety. He was on Prozac. I hated it. This is an amazing product.
P.S. I give him 1, once in awhile when I’m not leaving. He’s smart and caught on quickly what these “treats” meant.

Have it on Auto Delivery

I love this product I have used it for several years. I highly recommend it and have it on Auto Delivery every month. I have a rescue that has extreme separation anxiety. These chews are the perfect solution, he gets a chew and he just mellows out. I’ve also given it as gift for new dog owners. My daughter in law has a 94 lb. Labrador that needs to be medicated to take him to the veterinarian. I gave her the chews and accompanied her to the veterinarian. He needed no medication, successful Vet visit.

Amazing product

Super helpful for my dog: he also is so picky and loves them. He takes two at night to add to health benefits but the help with sleep is a plus too, also helps relieve car sickness. Never stop making these. Pricey but worth it.
